Don't Go (Single)
Described as 'two minutes of life-affirming Mancunian electropop' by Tom Robinson (BBC 6Music Introducing Mixtape) 'Don't Go' is a song for anyone who's had to remind themselves repeatedly not to return to a person or situation. Combining elements of synth pop with a simple folk playground melody, this is a summer song inviting you to get up and dance away bad times and regrets accompanied by an imaginary band of synthesised players. Featured in a February edition of Fresh on the Net's 'Fresh Faves' blog, 'Don't Go' was described as 'irresistibly catchy' with a 'sassy beat and popping bassline that gives it a cool contemporary Pop feel. It is so simple and yet so effective'. Like an 8-bit Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, a swirling cacophony of electronic instrumentation eventually drowns out an ever complex vocal arrangement, but Test Card Girl still has the last words which are, unsurprisingly 'Don't Go'!
